What is the first thing that you usually do in the morning?
Most of us wake up in the morning dragging ourselves out of bed and hoping to sip our first cup of stimulant juice. For most of use it might be an energy drink or a cup of coffee. Our bodies have been fasting all night from water and food. The number one beverage that we should be thinking about drinking is water, because we need to hydrate our bodies. Don't get me wrong I love a cup of coffee and I don't discourage the beverage, but coffee is also a diuretic, so it dehydrates your body. My tip for you would be to drink at least three cups of good quality water to start your day and then a cup of coffee. I believe if you make this simple change you would feel a whole lot better and body would thank you. Our body is roughly made up of 70% water and we should respect our body and give it what it needs. You should also keep in mind that when you feel thirsty, your body is already dehydrated, so a good rule thumb is just drink before you get thirsty. Drinking your daily eight cups a day is recommended or even more if you live a active lifestyle.
